I was born in Greece in 1969 and moved to the Netherlands in 1998. I am married to Saskia Harmens and we have two boys, Yorgos (born in 2005) and Manolis Christian (born in 2007). We live in Mijdrecht, a small town just outside Amsterdam, very close to Schiphol airport.
I studied and practiced accounting until the end of 2009. During this time, I had the chance to work for large multinationals, leading accounting teams. As a manager, I took pride in supporting my team members’ professional growth and celebrating their successes.
In 2010, I joined a large finance transformation project at my employer, Merck (MSD) at the time. As a member of the EMEA finance project team, I worked as a business process lead to implement a new way of working for the Merck organization. In charge of my respective area, I led the full project cycle activities including baseline workshops, solution identification, change management, process stewardship, training, testing, cutover, and post go-live support for the designated modules. The transformation program, in addition to the SAP implementation, introduced global process standardization and the transition to global financial services – shared services.
With all of this experience under my belt, I founded Anosis Nederland in 2017 and operated it until September 2023. During this time, I offered my services on an interim freelance contract basis as a project manager, transition manager, implementation manager, and change manager.
In May 2018, I established diavazo.nl, an online Greek bookstore in the Netherlands, and in October 2022, the online home accessories shop vlamengeur.nl, forming Diavazo Online Stores.
Since September 2023, I have been employed by TIP Management Services. In this role, I am leveraging my extensive experience in finance and project management to support the company’s strategic initiatives. My responsibilities include overseeing key projects, driving process improvements, and ensuring successful implementations of various business solutions. This position allows me to continue my passion for leading teams and facilitating organizational growth while contributing to the innovative efforts at TIP Management Services.
